“I love that my day job is to make people laugh!
It's such a hoot!”
|
Andrew's interest in the performing arts began in 1982 when he attended a national performing arts ministry convention called the “National Clown, Mime, Puppet, & Dance Ministry Workshop," (later called "Phoenix Power & Light”) where he met his original performing partner, Nels Cremean. Andrew & Nels continued to develop their skills year after year at retreats and summer camps. Both were featured artists with The Circus Kingdom, a Christian touring company dedicated to altruistic principles and social justice issues. After the tour, they co-founded the New Vaudevillian comedic troupe IN JEST (www.injest.com). Solo, Duo or Ensemble ... Andrew has worked with a variety of artists, workshop participants, and has performed for audiences of up to five thousand members on stages across the United States and abroad. His unique talents of juggling, clowning, unicycling, improvisational physical and verbal comedy, and an eccentric comical persona are reminiscent of classic Vaudeville era acts. Andrew specializes in Character Education shows for schools, churches, recreation/community centers, Boys & Girls Clubs, Boy / Girl Scouts, and similar organizations serving children and youth.
"I am always amazed at how much fun I have when I play around with audience members on stage! When I bring joy to others, make them laugh for a solid hour, it truly changes me. I feel the joy that I bring to others. Really. No joke. You should try it!"--Andrew
